$2.5 Billion Invested in Nearly 150 Q1 InsurTech Funding Deals – Digital Insurance

“Insurtechs raised $2.55 billion in 146 deals, increases of 22% on the money side and 42% on the total deals side, from January through March 2021, according to CB Insights' quarterly Insurtech Briefing. The previous record for money raised was $2.53 billion in the third quarter of 2020, which was largely chalked up to pent-up demand after the COVID-19 pandemic put a damper on the previous quarter's activity. However, the new record indicates there may be more demand at work.”

Nearly All Microsoft 365 Customers Suffer Some Sort Of Email Data Breach – TechRadar

A combination of factors including human weakness has led to a staggering number of data breaches related to email for Microsoft 365 customers. A report from Egress outlines the stark reality. The report is from a poll of 500 IT leaders and 3,000 remote workers across the UK and US. Nearly 2/3rds of the respondents indicate an increase in email data breaches and more than 1 in 6 state they had over 500 breaches last year. These aren’t are from malicious attacks on the platform, they include humans sharing information via email that shouldn’t be shared

Zurich to Offer E-Scooter Insurance at the Point of Sale – Coverager

Zurich Seguros and MediaMarkt have teamed up to provide coverage for civil liability arising from the use of scooters and electric bicycles. MediaMarkt, a German retailer selling consumer electronics, introduced electric scooters in Spain in May 2018. And last year, it experienced a 30% growth in e-scooter sales compared to the previous year.
